Poo or Pooh is also known as Spuwa. It is at an altitude of 2,662 meters or 8,736 ft. It is a small town in Kinnaur district, Himachal Pradesh, India. To reach poo you will have to drive from Sangla to reach the main highway near Karcham. After hitting the highway you’ll turn right towards Poo or Pooh. The road is superb and you’ll be delighted to see. Though it doesn’t last for more than a couple of kilometers. You’ll again find yourself on rubble paths. There is absolutely no sign of any habitation nor sight. Pooh is a small settlement with beautiful multicolored houses halfway up the mountainsides.
There are grasses which let out great fragrances. You will wonder what the smell is. You’ll find it familiar but elusive. The place is a treasure you’ll find shahi jeera and lot of other weed like plants that are Dhoop. Flora there is aromatic. There is so much wealth in the plant life.
There is a beautiful lake named Nako Lake located in the pooh subdivision. It is a high altitude lake of district Kinnaur. Nako lake is surrounded by polar trees and willow. On the bank of this lake, there is a small village. It seems like it’s half buried by the lake borders. On lake’s northern side there are four Buddhist temples with murals and stucco images. Near the lake, there is a footprint like impression assigned to the saint Padmasambhava. Nako lake freezes in winter and people enjoy skating at that time. It is one of the beautiful treasures which is untouched by the travelers.
