Nahan Tour Himachal
Nahan is a spectacular place encircled with snow-capped mountain ranges and lush green forests. It is the headquarters of Sirmaur district. It was founded by Raja Karan Prakash in the year 1621. The tradition of flying kites on Rakshabandhan was started by him. It is considered that a saint lived with a fellow named Nahar on the site where Nahan Palace stands now. It is also said that a king once tried to hunt a lion but a saint called Baba Banwari Das stopped him from doing so by saying ‘Nahar (Don’t Kill)’
