Manikaran Gurudwara in Manali is located in a small town of Manikaran. It is one of the most prominent places of worship for Sikhs. It is also known as Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Gurudwara.
Guru Nanak Dev Ji came here along with his disciple Bhai Mardana for the welfare of the people. On his advent, Bhai Mardana arranged flour and some pulses from local people for langar. Though, he could not arrange a fire to cook the food. Then Guru Nanak Dev Ji asked him to remove the stone from the spot where he was sitting. Bhai Mardana did the same and was amazed to see the flare-up of a spring of hot water. Guru Nanak Dev Ji advised him to donate the Prasada (food) he prepared from this hot water among people after taking the name of Almighty.
This shrine is thronged by countless devotees every year to pay homage to Guru Nanak Dev Ji and seek spiritual rejuvenation. Don’t forget to take dips in the virtuous hot water springs, which are famous for their healing properties and taste the sacred langar on a visit to this holy site.
