April- June Summers
If you are planning to beat the heat of plains then summer is the best time to visit Dharamshala which is from April to mid-July. Summer season is considered as the ideal time for an outing to the hills. The temperature stays pleasant which is 22 degree Celsius to 35 degree Celsius. It is the perfect time for trekking to Triund. Summers is the peak seasons so it tends to get a little crowded over the weekends.
July- September Monsoon
Monsoon starts in Dharamshala from mid-July till August. The hill station is quite deserted during monsoon. If you want to experience a real mountain monsoon the visit Dharamshala. If you want to experience snow then Dharamshala is the place for you. The temperature is up to 4 degree Celsius to 7 degree Celsius. It snows around January and the temperature drops down up to Zero degrees. It is the best place for honeymoon couples to experience snow-clad mountains and bonfire.
According to us the best time to visit Dharamshala is summers, for trekking and all kinds of tourist activities.
